AYR BURNS CLUB TRIBUTE ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEATH OF ROBERT BURNS

President Dr. Robbie McMahon and Immediate Past President, Kathleen Davey placed floral tributes on behalf of Ayr Burns Club, the Ayrshire Association of Burns Clubs, the Robert Burns World Federation, and Burns Clubs and lovers of the Bard world wide.

Robbie placed the club's tribute to the bard  while Kathleen placed a single rose and thistles on behalf of General Raj Mehta ( Retired) of the Indian Army, his faithful bi- annual tribute.

Due to Covid restrictions the usual Ceremony led by the Provost on behalf of the people of Ayr, and attended by local MP Alan Dorans, MSP John Scott, South Ayrshire Councillors and many members of our Ayrshire Clubs, had to be cancelled.  However Ayr Burns Club felt that our tribute had to be paid in honour of Robert Burns and on behalf of the faithful who attend these Anniversary Commemorations including our very own International branch of Ayr Burns Club of Ozark Mountains, Missouri, USA.  You  were all with us in Spirit.
