Schools Choral Final 2017


This year’s Choral competition allowed all Choirs the opportunity to compete at the National Final held in Armadale Academy, Armadale, West Lothian on Saturday 11th March. Primary School Choirs took part in the Final sponsored by Golden Wonder, who to the delight of all attending had provided crisps for everyone.

The highly experienced judges Mr Dave and Mrs Mhorag Malloch, both retired Principal Teachers of Music, found the talent of the choirs to be of an extremely high standard. Both commenting on how difficult their decision had been.

Final placings were as follows: -


1st Place           Peel Primary also winning the West Lothian Trophy for Best Choir

2nd Place          St. Athanasius Primary also winning the Best Choir for Lanarkshire

3rd Place          Carmondean Primary (West Lothian)


Carmondean - 3rd Place












Highly Commended went to Blackwood Primary (Lanarkshire), Noble Primary (Lanarkshire) and Toronto Primary (West Lothian)


Immediate Past President of the RBWF Dr Peter Hughes was on hand to entertain the audience while the judges retired to make their decision with RBWF President Bobby Kane and Schools Convenor Patricia Lesley presenting the prizes.


A huge thank you to Golden Wonder for their sponsorship and also to West Lothian Council who again provided the venue to Federation free of charge.
