Welcome to The Robert Burns World Federation

Welcome from President Jean Abdulrahim

It is with great humility and a strong sense of purpose that I begin my service to the Robert Burns World Federation. At the heart of everything I do lies the simple yet powerful mantra: “There is no ‘I’ in team.” I believe this captures the very spirit of our Federation - one built on unity, collaboration, and shared passion for the life and legacy of Robert Burns.

My vision is clear: to ensure the financial security and sustainability of our Federation, not just for the present, but for generations to come. A strong financial foundation is essential to supporting the Federation’s vital work - from educational initiatives to cultural events that celebrate Burns’ enduring influence.

I also recognise that the strength of our organisation lies in its people - our clubs and individual members. Your contributions are the lifeblood of the Federation and I am committed to ensuring your voices are heard, your efforts recognised, and your needs supported.

Finally, we must look to the future. Engaging with young people is not optional - it is essential. By inspiring and involving the next generation, we safeguard the legacy of Robert Burns and breathe new life into his message of humanity, equality, and hope.

Together, we can continue to grow, to honour our past, and to build a future worthy of the Bard himself.

Yours in fellowship,

Jean Abdulrahim
President
