About Us
The Robert Burns World Federation was founded in 1885, and with over 250 member clubs and Scottish societies throughout the world, we continue our mission to promote, educate and celebrate the life and works of Robert Burns and Scotland’s heritage, language and culture.
We provide our members with a network through which ideas and events can be interchanged and communicated.
We educate, promote and celebrate the life and works of Robert Burns and Scotland’s heritage, language and culture.
We publish the Burns Chronicle: the foremost academic publication about Robert Burns.
We organise national competitions for school-age children and young adults.
We provide a library of resources for educators.
We provide access to a comprehensive library of works by Burns.
We promote and stimulate the development, teaching and study of Scottish literature, art, music and language.
We support the conservation of buildings, places and property associated with Robert Burns and his contemporaries.
We celebrate and strengthen the bond of fellowship amongst members of Burns Clubs and kindred societies throughout the world by encouraging Burns Clubs and kindred societies to honour the memory of Robert Burns and his works.
